Each morning the Geniuses are asked to solve some form of puzzle that requires thinking in unconventional ways with given constraints in mind.

This helps to test their innovative and problem solving skills. Each team is expected to come up with a design that will be tested based on creativity.

The team from Federal University of Technology Minna received a work box containing safety kits and work tools. 


They were asked to build any furniture found in the house using a carton, sello tape, gum etc.


Check out the excellent work done by the team.
Team Futminna came first and they were awarded 10 points.

The Geniuses from Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, received their work kits containing safety kits and work tools. They built a table and a shelf..

Safety First!

The Nigerian Genius participants were introduced to safety guidelines for using machines such as; Laser cutting machines, Welding machines, CNC machine, 3D printers etc. They also learnt how to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs).

With this training they can minimize hazards and the risk of accidents, injuries and property damage.

Meet the Selected Participants for the 2023 Nigerian Genius Engineering Competition.

After a rigorous selection and voting process, we are thrilled to announce the finalists for The 2023 Nigerian Genius Engineering competition.  Meet all our genius from Federal University of  Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU), University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Yaba Colllege of Technology(YABATECH).

Abubakar Musa Omare is a 300L student from the department of Materials/ Metallurgical Engineering FUTMINNA.
His experiences and knowledge in engineering includes casting, foundry, welding and fabrication.

Paul Anumah Omeiza is a 200L Petroleum/Chemical engineering student at Federal University Minna.
He has expertise in CAD/CAM.

Omotosho Azeez Atanda is studying Mechatronics Engineering at Federal University Minna. He is an expert in electronics and embedded system.

A 500l student of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. He has a series of engineering knowledge and experiences which include Inverter design, embedded system, electrical Installations, battery modeling and thermal management with welding and fabrication.

Ibrahim Olasunkanmi Bello, A 500L student from the department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, ABU. He has a vast knowledge in engineering with a specialty on PCB design, RF antenna installation and set up, circuit design, battery modeling and thermal management, solar power set up and Installation and fiber optic network.

Nuhu Ibraham is a 500L student from the department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, ABU. He has a vast knowledge in software engineering and design tools which includes but not limited to CAD for electronics designs, integrated circuit design, satellite broadband Installation (VSAT), Fiber Broadband Network design.

MFON, JEREMIAH AKPAN 500L Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering University of Uyo. His skill set includes software repairs, maintenance and installation. Does CAD designs using Solid works.

Umanah Daniel Peter is a 500L student of Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, University of Uyo.  He does CAD design using Autocad.

John Chidiebere is a 500L Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Uyo. He has expertise in CAD using Solidworks.

Oyewole Olayinka is a also a 400L student from the department of Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
He has a vast experience in PCB design, Embedded system and 3D Modeling.

Dogban Makanjuola is a 400L student of Electrical / Electronics Yaba Tech. He has a vast experience in Embedded system design, Electronics and CAD designs.

Eromosele Momoh David is a 400L student of Electrical / Electronics Engineering Yaba Tech. He is experienced in the use of Horizontal Lathe Machines, Drilling machines, Band Saw.
