WHAT’S THE DESIGNATHON?

• Two-day international online design challenge for engineering and industrial design students
• Learn about Autodesk Fusion 360 and key workflows
• Compete against other students in the Designathon challenge
• Learn and compete as a team (2-3 students)
• Prizes and recognition for winning teams

PRIZES AND RECOGNITION
• Winning teams will be recognised with awards worth up to $1,500 each
• Prize winner certificates – showcase your achievement
• Certificates of participation – include these in your portfolio
• Social icons and stories – showcase your learning to potential employers and your tutors

KEY DATES
11 December: All teams must be registered
13 December: Autodesk account created and Fusion installed and activated
15 December: Online training session and Fusion 360 demo
16 December: Designathon challenge – prepare and showcase your response to the brief!

USEFUL INFORMATION
• The Designathon is open to students at technical colleges and universities – you must be 16 years or older
• You must enter as a team – there must be 2-3 people on a team for your entry to be valid
• You must participate in both days of the Designathon
• You will need access to a computer to take part
• Prior to the Designathon, you must apply for an Autodesk Student Plan, install and activate Fusion 360 on your machine prior – you can access with a free education license if you’re at an eligible educational institution
• You might want to let your tutors know you’re taking part – they may be interested in observing or may be able to offer some useful advice!
