Lean Manufacturing

Lean manufacturing is a production process that focuses on minimizing material waste within manufacturing systems. The goal is continuous improvement of production processes while eliminating waste and cutting down costs.
CALM trainees undergoing incubation were introduced to lean manufacturing system. They learnt to deploy CNC laser cutter in production because of its effectiveness in reducing material waste.

Laser Cutting at Clintonel Innovation Center (CIC)

Laser technology remains a good medium for cutting or engraving on leather.
The focused laser beam is directed at the material, which either melts, burns or vaporizes away, leaving an edge with a high-quality surface finish.
The application of laser cutting technology in leather manufacturing is advantageous due to its flexibility in cutting complex geometries & customized designs, high production speed and production at standard quality.
The CALM trainees undergoing incubation are mastering the application and use of the laser cutting machine.
