A PancakeBot
The Pancakebot is the world’s first 3D food printer capable of printing pancakes by automatically dispensing batter directly onto a griddle. 

PancakeBot can bake a pancake in any shape;

Kids can draw their favorite cartoon characters and then watch the device printing their breakfast.

Clintonel Makerspace On-going Projects

A Furnace

A Furnace is a mechanical device that provides heat for melting metals.

An on-going project in Clintonel Innovation Centre is a Propane gas powered crucible furnace designed to melt Aluminium, Tin, Bronze, Brass and Cast Iron.

The Furnace is insulated with a refractory castable cement and a 5mm refractory lining (Fibre glass) with an outer steel cylindrical walls.

STEM4GIRLS

The percentage of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) professions is low. It is important to achieve a gender balance in STEM. An effective approach to address this imbalance is to inspire young girls in secondary schools to pursue STEM courses and careers.

STEM4Girls, a project of Clintonel Innovation Centre – CIC Aba, inspires young girls to pursue and excel in STEM careers.

STEM4GIRLS is an excursion & workshop for high school girls at CIC where they are introduced to modern technologies including:

• 3D printing
• Robotics
• CNC Machining
• Embedded Systems Programming (Arduino)
• Plastic Filament Extrusion & Pelletizing
• Computer Aided Design (CAD)/3D modelling

For this year’s Citi Global Community Day (GCD), Citi Bank Aba partnered with CIC to train 102 young girls from different secondary schools in Aba through STEM4Girls.
